<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>What are the risks if the window regulator is not replaced at the time of breakage?<\/span><\/div>

The risks can be multiple:

1. More complex disassembly operations

2. Waste of time and high maintenance costs to ensure the quality of intervention

3. Limited use of the window

4. Need to block the glass in view of a sudden failure
<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>Why change the window regulator when the glass is broken?<\/span><\/div>

Because glass fragments can interfere with the running of the skid, or contribute to component blockage.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>The window regulator purchased is not the same as the original, does it fit the same?<\/span><\/div>

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>How do you programme a comfort control unit?<\/span><\/div>

The steps for programming a comfort control unit are as follows:

1. Carefully install the window regulator; before tightening the fixing bolts, connect the connector to the electrical system. After waiting for approx. 5 sec. switch on the system using the ignition key.

2. Raise and lower the window completely 2\/3 times to settle the mechanism, and to check that there is no excessive friction in the sliding of the window, then tighten the fixing bolts.
This procedure should also be carried out when, a window regulator fitted with the comfort system, the control unit jerks.

3. Before proceeding with programming the control unit, it is essential to connect the vehicle to the diagnostic device in order to remove any error messages, relating to the windows, from the car’s on-board memory. Failure to remove such messages does not guarantee correct operation of the comfort system.

4. Press the switch and move the window up until it is fully closed. After closing, press and hold the switch for approx. 3\/4 sec. before releasing. When released, the window should automatically descend until fully open.
The comfort system is now correctly programmed.
If this does not work, repeat operation (3), after disconnecting the connector from the electrical system and reconnecting it after a pause of at least 5 sec.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>Why does the window regulator, despite being new, rise slowly?<\/span><\/div>

Glass slide gaskets may be misplaced; we recommend the following steps:
1. Check that they fit correctly into the intended seats.

2. Remove, clean and, if necessary, lubricate the seals with graphite powder or silicone spray. (N.B. Never use grease or oil, these could irreparably damage the rubber seals).

3. Replace the seals in the event of wear.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>Does the window regulator also fit on the station wagon version?<\/span><\/div>

In general, the window regulators fit both versions. Specific models are indicated in the AcRolcar catalogue\/site.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span>The gear motor does not fit on the mechanism. Why?<\/span><\/div>

The mechanisms only fit original engines. If the window regulator has already been replaced, a new replacement window regulator, complete with motor, must be purchased.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To be sure that the identified window lift is indeed the one you want, we recommend that you always compare the following information: make, model, years, application side, OE code, technology (mechanical, manual, electric or comfort) and connector type.
